TEACH ME TO LAUGH, LOVE, LIVE

My heart was broken but it has healed. I moved on with my life with great support from my family and my true best friend, my husband. Through my depression, I have learned to laugh, love, and live. The laughing was a great escape for the stress. I had a great spending problem causing a huge credit card bill. Now, I try to remember the three simple golden rules. They are:

  1. Do I Want It
  2. Do I Need It
  3. Can I Afford It Now

These rules keep me in check. As for the love part, it took me awhile to figure it out. I refer back to my simple golden rules. Everybody wants to be loved and needs to be loved. At times, for some people the wanting, the needing, and the affording are not at the same level. This is where you must laugh, love, and live.

Broken Hearts

When was your heart first broken? My heart was first broken at college graduation. Having no job and no love in my life were causes of me to lead into a depression at this time. My job search of becoming a teacher was squashed because of not being certified in the state of Maryland. The state had just started to require to pass a test to receive certification. Although, I was never a great test taker, I only missed passing only one part of the test out of four. This dream of mine of being a teacher was put off for eight years as I tried other careers.
